With Abox m and Abox-i m, Spelsberg is able to offer versions with metric knock-outs for nominal cross-sections between 2.5 and 4 mm² that are found on the side and floor of the enclosure and can be knocked out if required, maintaining the protection class of IP65 depending on the seal element. Two different positions may be chosen to hold the Abox terminal in place, making wiring significantly easier. The external (for the AB version) or internal mounting of the box can be done conveniently using slots, whereby injected insulating plugs will reliably seal the openings and prevent any parasitic voltage. The cover seal was also directly injected, making installation even more straightforward. The new m-versions have “interlocking” on the rear, making it easier to position in place during installation. The cover is locked using two stainless steel cross-head screws. AST sealing elements are already enclosed with Abox m enclosures. A suitable sealing kit forms part of the accessories.
