Measure precisely
MiniTec is presenting an automated optical measuring device with partner ISW at the all about automation trade fair in Hamburg
Together with ISW (Industrielle Sensorensysteme Wichmann GmbH), MiniTec is presenting an interesting example of a very precise automation solution for optical measurement at the all about automation trade fair in Hamburg. In addition, MiniTec also provides general information about its options and solutions in the area of automation.
The AOP tester, which ISW GmbH developed and implemented in cooperation with MiniTec, will be presented. The system is fully automated, measures and evaluates twelve product parameters within a minute without contact. OK products are returned to production, NOK products are discarded and rejected. Of course, the technology can also be adapted to other needs.
Non-contact measurement
In addition to high precision, some measuring tasks also require non-contact measuring (pharmaceutical sector, medical, food technology), for example if contamination would occur due to human hands. If many parameters have to be measured at the same time in a short time and in a very small space, then the task is very challenging. ISW has successfully solved this with the development of the AOP Tester (Automatic Optical Product). The version presented in Hamburg can measure up to twelve parameters on a workpiece, sometimes simultaneously. By using a highly precise small robot that picks up the parts and feeds them to the various integrated measuring stations, this is possible in a very small footprint.
Behind the solution are self-developed evaluation and control algorithms that can be adapted to individual circumstances. The solution presented at the trade fair can increase the throughput of measurements by a factor of 60 and is able to work around the clock.
